Costa Vila was born in 1953 near Barcelona and attends the College of the Fine
arts in 1969.

In 1977, he begins to work in the atelier of the Painter Isidre Vicens,

where he remained two years. In 1979, he settles down in Montmartre,Paris,
where he paints the life in cafés and in the streets, the hurly-burly of

urban life. In 1981, he settled down in London, then in 1985 in New York, where
he began to integrate different techniques in his paintings like the collages which becomes his signature over the years.

 

 His works were rewarded by several awards between 1983 and 1988.

Since 1995 his art pieces are exposed in exhibitions and international fairs of the world most famous capital cities.
